Joyeuses Pâques

Joyeuses Pâques

New purchases of rabbits, chicks, flowers and eggs can mean only one thing - Easter. In key stage one, we'll colour in and make a rabbit stick puppet.
Then we'll watch the video of a song about jumping rabbits before joining in ourselves with puppets.

In lower key stage 2, we'll play a variety of games to learn the new Easter vocabulary - eggs, flowers, chicks and lambs - as well as playing games to reinforce numbers.  Next, as a class and then in groups, we'll take part in the memory game 'Dans mon panier il y a ...' , where the first child adds one item to the basket before passing it on to the second child who has to repeat the first sentence before adding a second item and extending the sentence.  We'll finish with this Easter basket colouring and cutting activity.

In upper key stage 2, we'll use the little rabbits to reinforce colours and clothing, before going on to play the memory game as above but with more complex sentences. We'll do a reading exercise, using dictionaries if necessary, to match the rabbit picture with the correct sentence.  And finally, we too will make an Easter goodie box.
